These are based on the highest terrain points, before considering mountains, large rock formations or steep pillars. The in-game HUD will let you know whether your current claim flag is in a valid location.
If your claim flag is not in a valid location, when attempting to place a new one you will receive HUD feedback informing you whether a spot is valid or not.
We'll provide a more specific date closer to the patch which changes this. When placing the flag at the new spot, it will automatically destroy the old claim flag and transfer the inventory into the new flag. For example, making it will look for the highest 'legitimate' location on an island, and then add an additional z to that height to determine the flag's maximum location. The following game. Structures such as wood walls lined up near each now have the correct textures. You'll see slight differences in their pattern to prevent repetitiveness.
Notes on the harpoon change: we feel that harpoons have become too strong in the meta to the point where they dominate ship PvP. Whilst this change may not perfectly address all situations, we expect it will encourage more planning when harpooning along with additional risk and decision-making whilst also opening up options to the harpooned ship.

Right now the end game is whoever has the best INT intelligence Crafter. It's a continuous power-creep by the strongest players. We wanted to ensure that we're dealing with this quickly, whilst the NA PVP network is still in its early phases, and before the others have launched.
By removing the INT stat from armour we prevent this from happening. We believe this change also reduces the gap between the larger and smaller groups, as the game is less reliant on how high you can scale your BP with an INT crafter and instead based on the BPs you find out at sea and your skill. We're looking forward to seeing players searching, stealing, and trading for the best BPs.
On a final note, we want to mention that these changes will allow us the opportunity to tweak the end game more without having to worry about huge power creep and a reminder that these changes you see here aren't always final, they can and may be adjusted.
This means that Galleons will provide more and give better loot than Brigs, which provide better rewards than schooners.
Hard Snowman: - x2 Health, 2x Armour, 1. Regular Yeti Minions: - Tweaked no buff fire damage adjuster from x0. Hard Yeti Minions Empowered Yeti - x1. This will destroy all structures on the island. The cost to raze will be 12k gold on PvP servers and 25k gold on PvE servers. Settlement Owners will need to wait 48 hours to be able to raze an island after claiming it. The raze option will then be available for a hour window only. This option is only functional during peacetime on PvP networks. This means that core foundation structures floors, pillars, and fence supports , which are not snapped connected to more than 2 pieces or do not have a valid structure on top will have rapid decay which will result in their destruction after 12 hours of not being rendered in.

We're still investigating legacy wrecks and however they may clear with this change after 5 days, as company data is loaded - Fixed "leave Company" button. Maybe a atlaslike modmap would help you. If there is an ocean full of islands to explore, ships to enter and settlements to raid, then i dont need a tame at all.
They to big for the small doors and decks on warships anyway. I love having horses to ride on land. Cows, pigs, chicken and co do a great job to populate my pirate hideout.
Monkey, parrots and others look great on the captains shoulders. So I am ok with having them ingame, but pls easier to tame and breed. I dont wont to waste to much time on shore. But for the rest, in a pirate mmo, I dont give a fuck.
Only wont to kill them for exp and loot. And for game mechanics, it is a real fun killer, If I cant dig for that treasure chest without riding a bear. Thank you a lot! That did answer most questions that the live stream threw up. I love the direction you are going and cant wait to see more details about it. You totally showed us you understand the problems of us players and have a great vision with possible solutions to all of them. Do you plan now to release captains logs again every one or two weeks to keep us updated and share some details?
For the livestream i would suggest to post the summary first its more suitable to explain new things like you did with new content streams and then talk about details and show us wip in the livestreams so it doesnt throw up to many new unanswered questions ;.
So why talking about another Mega Content Update when you still didn't finish last one? This new roadmap sounds good, a lot of aspects that can change the game in a very good way. Let's see if it will be all right when put into practice. Until there, my pirate outfit is resting Some people love building boats, some building towns with shops, some like taming, some like sailing and fighting.
Deciding HOW people are going to play will have the devs playing this game by themselves. If the purpose is to have people be at sea, then you devs have done everything in your power to keep us ported:.
So, you PORT to avoid all that damage until you figure out whether 7 cyclones are going to literally follow you around a grid until you port. To avoid spending the rest of your life with an axe and pick, you have to make tames to make that go faster so you can build your awesome ship to live on. Fast travel to feed is the only thing that saves the day, but you are naked, so whatever. That requires a base that stores all duplicates of your goodies, blueprints, farming for cooking, clothes, weapons, etc And forget getting the good ones alone without a tame to help or drag some NPCs behind you getting stuck in everything from a bush to a turtle.
It increases ported time. Instead of a big company claiming big islands, they claimed all the little ones and they left the big ones free for folks that cannot even claim them.
How about the large companies only being allowed to claim the large islands and leave the little ones to the little tribes? Thank you for addressing some of these issues, but taking away things that people like doing instead of limiting the things like over-active cyclones or weight and speed issue is a mistake.
Totally get this is a work in progress, Beta and there are growing pains, just please remember:. Most I have talked to say they will wait until these devs get their ship together, then come and play.
Nah, wait just 3 months, come back and see the new roadmap, rinse repeat and maybe in 2 years they will finally settle on something. Well, I like the sound of this. What's your guys thoughts on the current direction of Atlas? Games should be fun. Not a second job. That's the reason my family plays on 4 player hosted.. Ike you mentioned on server you loose everything if you have a job in rl and can't babysit your stuff. Unfortunately this weekend we had a rude player hop on our "private" 4 player family game, while 1 player was off.
And wreck stuff before we caught him, so now that's not even safe. Hard to have fun when feel game is geared towards online players who have no job or ban together in large companies. Doesn't leave much consideration for chill players wanting to relax and adventure at our own pace. Same in I wish they'd add split screen. Alternatively my family set up 2 TVs and 2xboxs side by side and host a "private" world to get similar experience But random players sometimes hop on, which is annoying.
Most kindly leave when you tell them it's a private game, but one emptied all of our food, maps, and supplies into the ocean before we caught him. Password lock doesn't seem to actually lock. Super annoying. These are some of the most popular JavaScript frameworks in that developers should be upgrading angularjs to angular and understand when creating websites using them.
Yeah, the devs suck big time. Can't play game DemonXp94 posted a topic in General Discussion. Hey is anyone else having trouble getting into this game. Seems like everything I want to play it its down or not working. Been trying for the past hour to get my wife on but all we get is joining failed. So, just playing on the Atlas official server.
Pretty neat! Pulled in a few crates and feeling pretty good. Landed on an island. Well, a heatwave happened and the game crashed.
Ok, cool. Well I restart and get greeted with a "you died! Meaning I lost all the stuff I had, my raft, and now have to respawn at my my bed where I can't build a new ship or a freehold and waste an hour or more traveling back.
In no way I think this is needlessly punishing or pointless and definitely makes the game far more fun. It's funny how a simple maintenance routine would solve this: but clearly no one at Grapeshot unless it's literaly only 5 people since they're slaves to Wildcard can perform simple things like checking server status. It is too hard of a task for them. They can code an automated restart program to restart servers, and also create alerts to notify when they go offline.
If they had a Discord where the people who paid and expected to play could spam ping them for being bad, it would be so much better than expecting a reply from a support ticket. It's not about whining. We got by fact completely ignored here and there is no Dev who reads here or even answer to any topic. This is a serious issue. There was a time where they even announced some "fake" comunity managers. As someone else said, the "New Map" is probably just the current one with many less grids, as the number they have now in no way matches the number of players on the official maps.
Surprising they haven't done this sooner. Of course to reduce it, they would have to move many of the islands into the grids that are left. At the same time, someone who is not currently playing the game and has a bit of optimism left, and not all hope sucked dry, might hope that a few new grids will be added. Possibly some from a few of the great modders out there that have created content for this game.
Also a few other small changes thrown in there to make PvE and PvP work on a single map. But to be honest, when I say try it out, I mean most likely on a private server that incorporates some of the changes. I stopped playing on the official servers over a year ago. I was never salty until I found out the devs left this game for dead to work on ARK genesis.
But they have missed the jump to the boat. Whahah, the roadmap. Yeah, this sucks. But its an early access. Not a finished game like ARK. They can do whatever they want.
And I just dropped a couple hundred hours into building a new stone base. I think I'll just go enjoy New World.
Good timing on your patch. Here is a question for the Dev's what are they going to do for the players that have spent months working on tame stats, gathering mats to build the higher tier ship and gear, as well as those who have worked to level their pathfinders up to do the end game quests?
Why remove a server and have all those players lose everything that they have worked for is not how you build customer loyalty in fact in to how you lose customers. How about you wipe the PvP servers as there's no true pvp there, its almost all offline pvp griefing. The pve servers at least have worked long and hard to build up everything they have.
If you reset everyone to level 1 on the wipe you just killed what little player base Atlas has remaining.
